Lucious Lemon Bars



A sweet treat perfect for a party, or perfect for you to go lock yourself in a closet with the whole pan.

LUCIOUS LEMON BARS

Ingredients

For Crust
2 cups flour
1 cup butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar

For Filling
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup flour
6 Tbsp lemon juice (fresh is best)
2 Tbsp lemon zest, optional
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Powered sugar

Directions
Preheat oven to 350. To make crust, combine flour, butter and powdered sugar until combined and crumbly. Press down into greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned. To make the filling beat eggs in mixing bowl. Beat in sugar and flour. Add lemon juice, lemon zest, baking powder and salt. Beat until combined and smooth. Pour over baked crust. Place back in oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Once finished baking immediately sprinkle with powdered sugar. Once cooled, cut into bars.

Tiffany's Tips: When baking for the 25 to 30 minutes watch carefully. My bars usually take anywhere from about 23 to 25 minutes in my new oven. My old oven would be closer to 30. It will vary depending on your oven.
